These protocols allow the scanner to communicate with a wide range of vehicles, most 1996 US-based, 2004 EU-based, and newer Asian models.
This scanner reads engine codes only and CAN NOT read ABS, airbags and other systems.

Who is it for? The Ideal User

• The Curious Car Owner: You just want to know why the check engine light is on before calling a mechanic.

• The Basic DIYer: You work on simple things like spark plugs, oxygen sensors, or thermostats and want to confirm the code and clear the light after the repair.

• Someone with an Older Car: For cars made before ~2008, the systems were simpler, and these scanners are more likely to work adequately.

Tested on Renault Megane MK2 (2006).  Did not see any error codes and live data stream does not work.
